Description
This Plateaued Dublin is a one-of-a-kind pipe by our in-house pipe maker Todd Brugman.
With this particular pipe Brugman chose a fairly traditional English interpretation for the silhouette. Yet the rest of the pipe is clearly influenced by neo-classical Italian pipe making. Brugman is know for his unique style that is highly influenced by neo-classical Italian shaping cues and Danish Minimalism, yet harkens a timeless aesthetic.
Brugman used Tortoise Shell acrylic for the stem. and maintains the geometric contours through the square paneled shank to the stem, and is balanced with a plateau rim. As one can see, this pipe sits perfectly and will make a great clencher as it is only 37 grams and well balanced.
Flowing wavy straight grain surrounds the bowl in a medium contrast stain, with a craggy plateaued rim. The contrast stain provides depth and a textured look to the finish..
Perfectly drilled and engineered, this pipe is as much a precision instrument as it is a work of art!
