Description
We’ve been really impressed with the quality of these Italian made pipes from Calabrian pipemaker Posella. This straight Freehand Pot has deep ring grain that’s tight and regularly spaced, running in contrast to the straight vertical grain brought out by a dark contrast stain. The shape is fairly traditional — a pot with a short saddle bit — but the thick walls give it an Italian “chunkiness” reminiscent of Castello. It’s the rim, which has been carved with some dips and curves, that make it a truly unique freehand. It measures 5 1/4″ with a 2″ bowl.
