Todd Brugman’s “Northern Lights” – Straight Grain Canadian with Extension

$380.00

Boston pipe maker, Todd Brugman, is an in-house pipe maker at LJ Peretti Co. Prior to that, Brugman learnt the art and trade of pipe making in a classical way. He spent many years studying and apprenticing at LJ Peretti Co. where he made his professional debut in November 2021. His pipes, both with classic and contemporary attributes, have been a breath of fresh air. The community has noticed, and he’s been working day and night to keep up with the demand!

This pipe is a long (6″) Canadian with a briar extension to the stem. Stunning straight grain circles the entire bowl. The shank is a slightly squared off oval in shape, giving the classic shape a modern twist. The bowl is fairly large in size, just over 2″ tall, but the stem tapers down to a narrow bridle mouthpiece for an especially comfortable feel.

Clearly Brugman is “painting with his own brush.”

He spent many years studying and apprenticing at LJ Peretti Co. where he made his professional debut in November 2021. This pipe is a long (6″) Canadian with a briar extension to the stem. Despite its length, it is deceivingly light at only 32 grams. Stunning straight grain circles the entire bowl. The shank is a slightly squared off oval in shape with tight birdseye running down the length of the shank and stem extension, giving the classic Canadian shape a modern twist. A sub category of Canadian that Brugman calls a “Northern Light”; one more contemporary spin on a classic shape to add to his growing portfolio of elegant, timeless, and unique pipes . The bowl is fairly large in size, just over 2″ tall, but the stem tapers down to a narrow cumberland mouthpiece for an especially comfortable feel.
