Charatan’s of any era always prove to be a real challenge to date properly. We believe this briar from the early Lane or quite possibly the pre-Lane era, even though it bears the Lane ‘L’. Either way, a true collectors item with beautiful shaping and wonderful grain. The stem is in very good shape and the bowl is quite clean. After much hesitation, we have decided to make this pipe available for sale.
