The Peterson Pipe of the Year 2025 is a limited-edition series celebrating the company’s 160th anniversary. It is numbered, only 1000 were made. The shape is a resurrected classic Peterson shape, the “02BB” Oom Paul, known for its tight-knit profile and near-vertical shank-and-stem arrangement. The pipe comes in various finishes, including sandblasted, rusticated, terracotta, and heritage, with a sterling silver band and a Donegal tweed sleeve. The sandblasted version includes a P-lip.
This number 596/1000 in the “terracotta” finish. The stain only gives the grain a subtle contrast, but upon closer inspection, one cannot ignore that this pipe has nearly perfect and tight straight grain encompassing the bowl; making a truly stunning pipe.
