Here’s a pipe that manages to be short and stubby and big and brawny all at once. Moonshine pipes are now made by Briarworks in Nashville, TN. The “Devil’s Anse” shape was made popular by Kevin Costner in Hatfields and McCoys, and celebrates a lineage going back to the Cutty shape and other forward-canted bowls like traditional clays. Only 4 1/4″ long, it has a surprisingly big bowl measuring 1 3/4″ tall. This pipe has been fitted with a tapered stem in brindle acrylic with a cross grain to match the grain of the bowl–a nice touch!
