This tamper was made exclusively for us, the LJ Peretti Co, by pewter smith Larry Blackett, handmade in the USA.
Out of a large collection of tampers from the 17th, 18th, and 19th century he is casting and making a limited number reproduction’s that are exclusively available here at LJ Peretti Co. We will be bringing in 2 to 3 new tampers into the shop every few months or so, continuing to add to the collection*.
This tamper is of “Rob Roy”, 18th Century Scottish Highlander Clan MacGregor, folk hero of Scotland. It was made originally in the 18th century.

On all of these tampers, the artisan, Blackett, purposely gave them an unpolished finish so they would accurately match the original.
