Description
Thin walled and lightweight, this is a chimney shape with a plateau rim. It has a diamond shank that connects to the original Charatan Double Comfort saddle bit. The original nomenclature stamping is clearly visible on both stem and shank (although it did not come out great in the picture): “Charatan’s Make, London England, Selected” as well as the cursive L for “Lane’s” and F.H. for “freehand.” One of the stars of this “new” old collection! 5 3/8″ long with a 2 1/8″ bowl.
This moderately smoked pipe is part of a recently acquired estate of Charatan’s Make pipes from the 60s to the 80s. It has been our pleasure to lovingly restore these rare and iconic pipes.
