Description
This large, round apple with a bulbous bowl is 6 1/2″ with a 2″ bowl. Unlike a traditional apple, this pipe has a diamond shank with squared off corners, and the bottom of the bowl comes down to a V-shaped point. The bottom of this pipe has one of the most consistent expanses of birdseye grain we’ve seen, while straight grain swirling up the sides of the bowl at subtle angles. A really unique piece that walks the line between freehand and traditional.
This moderately smoked pipe is part of a recently acquired estate of Charatan’s Make pipes from the 60s to the 80s. It has been our pleasure to lovingly restore these rare and iconic pipes.
