Castello is easily one of, if not arguably, the best pipe brand in the world. They age and cure their own briar, unheard of amongst brands, producing high quality sweet smoking briar. There workers study the blocks, always bringing out the best grains and/or finish from the blocks, producing stunning works of art.
Castello “Castello” small 55 shape, is not only a unique shape of theirs, it is one of their most recognizable and sought after shapes. This is the smallest 55 shape I have personally seen in person, it is short at only 4 1/4″ in length, and very light (around 30 grams). It has, as one would expect from Castello, the neo-classical Italian shaping cues they are famous for, and invented, defining what an Italian pipe is expected to be.
