Ferndown Pipes

One of the best high grade briars coming out of England today. Like William Taylor of Ashton pipes, Les Wood was one of the last people to go through the Dunhill apprentice program, in which one learned to make a pipe from start to finish. Dunhill subsequently changed to an assembly line approach, but Les Wood still makes his briars completely by hand. Like Ashton, he incorporates everything he learned during his days at Dunhill along with some innovations that are uniquely his. Furthermore, Les Wood is a gifted silver and goldsmith, which means that many Ferndowns feature beautiful silver or gold accents.
